As part of the Nebraska Arts Council’s Creative Aging Arts Program, a program that provides grants for senior centers, assisted living facilities, libraries and nonprofit organizations serving older adults to hire an artist, I lead workshops in mosaic with sequential arts lessons. Participants learn new skills while fostering social engagement, and the multi-week workshops celebrate with a culminating event to showcase student work with peers and the community.
