The Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska artVenture program matches girls with professional artists who donate their time to collaborate with girls in creating works of art for their annual auction fundraiser. The girls create art from conception to completion, learning to work together, discussing ideas and combining those thoughts to express a cohesive design and then realizing that design in glass, whether it be fused glass or mosaics, and finish by naming the piece.
In addition to making a collaborative glass art piece, the girls also make something to take home. This varies a bit each year, usually they make pendants, suncatchers or small plates.
