In addition to creating her own artwork and commissioned pieces, Carrie travels internationally, teaching both adults and children the art of glass, including mosaic, stained glass and fused glass. She is a certified Integrated Learning Specialist, mastering strategies to engage all types of learners by integrating various art forms to create a deeper, more meaningful experience both in and out of the classroom.
Carrie is on the Nebraska Arts Council Artists in Schools/Communities (AiS/C) roster of teaching artists, which helps nonprofit organizations and schools bring artists into their communities. She is Standards Endorsed, meaning she has developed residency curriculum plans that address Nebraska educational learning standards.
Below is a sampling of the projects Carrie has worked on with schools in previous residencies. If you’re interested in bringing Carrie into your school or community, please contact her. You may be able to get matching funds or grant money from the Nebraska Arts Council.
